Before Philips established itself on this site, a number of farm houses could be found here. They all disappeared, except one. The remaining farm house was rebuilt in the 1980s, replete with dressing rooms and showers, as well as an attic for table tennis and a bar on the ground floor. The venue was initially used for social occasions and meetings, and has since been known as De Boerderij.
Over the years many people visited the De Boerderij for social events and workshops and training programmes. De Boerderij is managed by Corporate Vitality and focuses on Health & Vitality training programmes and workshops for companies. Below some of the workshops that we provide in de Boerderij.

Experience a well-deserved brain break to reset your brain and refresh

Working in modern times puts a strain on your mental agility and your nervous system. This may lead to feeling overwhelmed and to a narrow, rigid mind. You can become unaware of the fact that you are not the best version of yourself anymore.

In this workshop you work with biofeedback software that gives real-time visual feedback of your heart rhythm. Our digital tools help you understand your current situation and stay on track during the rest of the day. You experience the impact of shifting your heart rhythm to a coherent state which increases your emotional composure and clear thinking.

After this Brain Break you have shifted from a mentally overexerted state to a balanced and refreshed state so that you are back on track with regained energy.

HB|TEF implements a classic task worker way of thinking into the world of a modern knowledge worker. Where the knowledge worker nowadays has to deal with a lot of dynamic and complex tasks, the task worker in the old days exactly knew his limited commitments. And if you as a knowledge worker had only a few of these complex tasks, your head would be perfectly able to manage. But it simply is too much! Too many open ends, which work paralizing.

Within the Healthy Balance | TimeEnergyFocus Management workshop, you will learn to manage your mail in an HB|TEF compliant way. You will learn to create overview and will soon be more reliable in your mail handling. Our goal is to have an empty inbox at least once every day.

Subjects we will cover:

  • Stop multitasking, start singletasking
  • Instant versus urgent;
  • Next action thinking.

Time spend: 1 theory hour and 1-3 hours of home work.

Discover your own recipe for continued energy

Working at the High Tech Campus means working at an exciting place. Exciting, but demanding and sometimes even pushing you to your ‘max’. To prevent this from affecting your well-being and private life, it is crucial to learn the rules of sustainable performance. And this starts with knowing what you do on a weekly basis and analysing your work tasks in terms of energy.

In this workshop you learn why ‘working to the max’ does not lead to a long term sustainable performance. Even if you love your job. You receive the ingredients to make your own recipe of sustainable performance. Job crafting is one of those ingredients; a powerful tool to make small but relevant changes in your daily working life.

You leave the workshop with a much better idea of your work tasks and their positive or negative contribution to your sustainable performance. Combined with knowledge about job crafting, my promise is that you can make at least one tangible change in your work within two weeks.

Dianne likes to work with people with fast and creative minds. She combines an analytical mind with a sensitive heart, loves sports and physical exercise. Dianne has degrees in Occupational Therapy, Human Movement Sciences (PhD), Professional Coaching (CPC) and is accredited by the International Coach Federation. Was teacher in Ergonomics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and project manager Physical Workload at TNO. Highlights of her career were Parabolic Flights with NASA (1996; investigating how fast the human body adapts to periods of weightlessness while lifting a heavy load) and an own invention (2006; ‘cycling during computer tasks’).
